She's covered sports for one of the largest media outlets in the world. It was a long time covering the sport for The Washington Post, including tennis, football, and basketball. In 2004, Nichols was transferred to ESPN for a period of nine years during which she was awarded two Emmy Awards and appeared on several of the network's top frequented shows such as SportsCenter as well as NFL Countdown.
